Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert, forecasting very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall till Saturday and advised residents to take adequate precautions.Aswaraopeta in Bhadradri-Kothagudem districted recorded the highest rainfall at 116.8 mm by 3 pm, followed by Dammapeta with 97.5 mm.In Hyderabad, torrential rains began after 8 pm, causing significant traffic snarls and road flooding in several areas especially in Kukatpally which recorded 31.8 mm rain, Patancheru (26 mm), and Miyapur (18.3 mm).The IMD has advised residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
