Heavy rain alert for Hyderabad, denizens urged to stay indoors only stay safe.

HYDERABAD: Monday morning started on a rainy note as rains lashed Hyderabad after 7 am, stalling the routine at the start of the week.Rains started from the parts of Medchal, Alwal, Balanagar, Quthbullapur and covered the city in a span of an hour, which turned into moderate showers by noon.the highest rainfall in the city at 10.30 am was recorded at Serilingampally at 23 mm, followed by Kukatpally at 22.8mm and Quthbullapur at 20.5 mm as per the TS Development & Planning Society.Heavy rains were recorded across the state in Kamareddy, Medak, Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Peddapalle.As per IMD, very heavy rains are expected in many districts in the day ahead whereas moderate rains with intense spells and thundershowers are likely for the city.
