Telkoi: Woman ward member killed in an elephant attack.

It has been reported that a woman was killed in an elephant attack in Banbiharipur village under the Bimala Forest Section of Telkoi Forest in Keonjhar district today morning. While the dead woman is Draupadi Nayak, it is known that she was a ward member of Ward No. 10 of Akula Panchayat.
According to the information received, since there was a storm on Wednesday night, Draupadi went to the mango grove near his house to pick mangoes. Suddenly, an elephant came from behind and knocked out Draupadi. Seeing this, the local people shouted and the elephant left the place.
Draupadi was later taken to the Telkoi Community Health Center in an ambulance. But there they declared her dead. After receiving the information, forest officials visited the spot, started the investigation, and met the deceased's family.
As information was received In the first phase, the forest department has given 60 thousand rupees to the family of Draupadi. However, the forest department has advised the villagers to be cautious as a herd of 15 elephants has camped in Biharipur area.
