HYDERABAD: In yet another instance of stray dogs attacking a child in the city, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl was mauled to death by two strays while she was playing outside a construction site at Gayatri Nagar in Jeedimetla where her parents worked. The child's elder sister fortunately escaped unharmed.The family originally from Chhattisgarh had shifted to Hyderabad only five months ago for a livelihood. Both the parents are daily wage workers.
Police said the sisters were playing on the road when the two stray dogs turned on them on Friday evening.
Deepali was severely injured and was rescued by locals. The quick action by the locals also saved the other child, police said.
