Incidents during land cultivation Crushed under the tractor

In the Malkangiri padia block, a farmer was cultivating on his farm with the help of a tractor, while the tractor lost its balance and was crushed.  After a few moments of shouting and screaming, the farmer's life was gone.  A tragic incident took place in MV 57 village under Kaldapalli panchayat in Padia block of Malkangiri district.  While cultivating the field, the tractor lost its balance and crashed into Tapan.  At that moment, Tapan screamed loudly and lost his life for a few moments.  Hearing the screams, Ratan, a farmer and Tapan's brother some distance away, reached the spot and reported the matter to the Padia Fire Department.  Upon hearing the news  Firefighter Shishirkanti Singh, along with a fire team, rushed to the scene and rescued Tapan, who was trapped under the tractor and took him to Padia Group Health Center for treatment.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  The family later lodged a complaint with the Padia police station, confiscating Tapan's body and dismembering it at Kalimela and handing it over to the family.  A case has been registered in Padia police station on 9/21, said Prashant Kumar Nishika, a Padia police officer who is investigating the incident.
