HYDERABAD: A slew of recent seizures has pulled the covers off the illicit trade of ganja chocolate making its way into Hyderabad from Odisha. Wrapped in glossy packaging, these 'Charminar Gold Munakka' chocolates that have flooded the city are being shipped in by migrant workers from the neighbouring state, say local police. These ganja-filled chocolates are made in districts like Balasore in Odisha and are readily available in the state for as little as 20 per piece. When the migrant labourers - primarily those working in construction - come here for work, they carry these with them and sell it to workers at their site and others employed nearby," said an official familiar with this trade.
